This policy explains how Rete Digital (“Rete Digital”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or use software and services we provide.

01Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health, financial account or government ID data through our website.

02How we use your information

  • To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes and proposals.
  • To design, build, test, deliver and support the software you hire us to create.
  • To send invoices, manage contracts and meet legal and accounting obligations.
  • To keep our website secure and understand how it is used, so we can improve it.
  • To send updates about your project. We only send marketing emails if you agree, and every one includes an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

03Who we share it with

We share personal information only when needed, and only with:

  • Service providers that host our systems or help us run the business, such as cloud hosting, email, project management and payment processing. They may use the data only on our instructions.
  • App stores and platform providers such as Apple and Google, when we publish an app on your behalf.
  • Authorities when required by law, court order or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
  • A buyer or successor if Rete Digital is involved in a merger or sale, under the same protections described here.

04Apps and software we build for clients

When we build an app or system for a client, that client decides what end-user data the product collects and is responsible for it as the data controller. We act as a data processor: we handle end-user data only to build, test, host or support the product, and only as the client instructs.

If you are a user of an app made by Rete Digital for another company, please read that company's privacy policy and contact them about your data. We will help them respond to your request.

05How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for up to 24 months if no project begins. We keep client and project records for the length of our contract plus the period required by tax and accounting law. Website analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. After that we delete or anonymise it.

06Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, two-factor authentication on our accounts, and least-privilege access to client systems. Credentials you share with us are stored in a password manager and removed when a project ends. No system is completely secure, so we will notify you without undue delay if a breach affects your data.

07Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email us at the address below. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

08Children

Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

09International transfers

Our service providers may store data in countries other than yours. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date, and notify clients by email of significant changes.
